I flew Lufthansa for the first time today on a flight from LAX to Frankfurt and was surprised by how strictly they checked carry-on bag weights.
During check-in, our carry-ons were weighed, and the staff seemed much more focused on weight than on the bag dimensions. I have flown internationally from LAX with Air France and KLM several times and have never had my carry-on weighed before.
Is this a standard Lufthansa procedure, or does enforcement vary depending on the airport, route, aircraft type, or even the staff working that day?
