Just noticed an error from a booking I made back in September. Somehow my lap infant was never added to the reservation. I figured no big deal, I’ll just call and add her.
Well… Lufthansa is now telling me the lap infant “fare” is $600. For context, my own ticket was $975 when I booked it three months ago. Paying more than half my ticket price for a baby on my lap feels insane.
Called in and got zero flexibility or empathy. Just told that the fare is higher now and that’s that. I’m planning to go to the airport early tomorrow to try in person, but I’m not feeling optimistic.
Has anyone had luck getting this adjusted to something reasonable at the airport or escalated somehow? Or am I stuck because of the original booking mistake?
