I fly Lufthansa a lot within Europe, mostly Vienna to Frankfurt. Probably 30 times last year alone. And I keep asking myself what exactly makes them “premium” anymore.
Seats feel just as cramped as Ryanair. Gate agents still stress over cabin bags. Onboard service is basically water and a tiny chocolate. That’s it. No real difference in comfort or experience.
What really gets me is that Ryanair often has fewer delays on the same routes. Yet Lufthansa is usually around 30 percent more expensive and still carries the premium label.
I’m not trying to hate, just genuinely confused. What am I paying extra for these days?
