Running into a stressful situation and hoping someone here has seen something like this before.
My wife and I originally had a Lufthansa itinerary that got disrupted because of the strike. Lufthansa rebooked us onto a British Airways flight for the same route, departing in less than 24 hours.
The problem is BA can see my ticket and booking, but they cannot find anything for my wife in their system.
On Lufthansa’s side, both of us still show as confirmed, and every time I contact support they say the second ticket “will be issued soon.” I’ve been hearing that since yesterday but nothing has changed.
Normally I’d just wait, but the flight is coming up fast and my wife is pregnant, so the uncertainty is pretty stressful.
Has anyone experienced Lufthansa rebooking onto another airline where one passenger gets ticketed first and the other shows up later? Did it eventually resolve itself or did you have to escalate it?
