Our family summer holiday to the Alps has been disrupted after Lufthansa cancelled our flights this morning.
Current situation:
Original route: Newcastle → Frankfurt → Alps destination
Flights in August have now been cancelled
Lufthansa has suggested an alternative routing via Manchester
Return journey is also being moved one day earlier
This has significantly changed our planned itinerary and added extra travel complexity, especially as this is a family holiday.

We are now worried about further changes, as this seems like part of a wider pattern of schedule adjustments affecting European travel during peak summer season.
