After flying Lufthansa Allegris First Class, I had a 6 hour layover in Munich and spent time in both First Class lounges in Terminal 2. The arrival gate was very close so it was only a short walk to the lounge.
Overall, the experience felt very high end and is likely one of the strongest First Class lounge offerings in terms of design, staff service, quiet environment, food quality, and consistency.
A key feature is the dedicated passport control service inside the First Class lounge, which allows passengers to clear immigration without normal queues. Non EU travelers still need to complete initial EU entry registration using kiosks before proceeding.
At check in I was also given a small rubber duck souvenir, which was a nice touch.
The Terminal 2 lounge is newly renovated and recently reopened. It is large, modern, and minimal in design with a premium industrial aesthetic. Despite its size, it was extremely quiet with very few guests during the visit.
Service was proactive and attentive. Staff greeted guests immediately and offered drinks or dining options upon arrival. The food selection was extensive, with both buffet options and multiple à la carte menus including themed selections. The quality was very high, with dishes such as Thai soup and Bavarian items standing out as restaurant level rather than typical lounge food.
Facilities such as showers and restrooms were very clean and easy to access due to low occupancy. Seating options included private work booths, lounge seating, and a cigar lounge with a selection of spirits.
The main downside is the lack of runway views and dedicated nap rooms in this specific lounge, although those are available in another First Class lounge in the satellite terminal.
Overall, it was a premium and calm experience with strong attention to detail, high quality dining, and a quiet atmosphere that feels far removed from a standard airport environment.
