Lufthansa Group has officially clarified that it has no current plans to acquire the Airbus A321XLR, dismissing recent speculation about adding the long-range narrow-body to its fleet strategy. The carrier emphasised that its focus remains on wide-body aircraft for long-haul routes and that the A321XLR does not align with its present operational model. This decision highlights Lufthansa’s commitment to its existing fleet direction, even as some competitors are embracing the A321XLR for transatlantic and long-thin routes.
