Lufthansa’s new subsidiary, Lufthansa City Airlines, will begin operations from Frankfurt in early 2026, expanding beyond its initial Munich base. Starting February 10, 2026, it will launch routes such as Frankfurt–Berlin (twice daily), plus services to Düsseldorf, Málaga, Manchester, and Valencia. The airline will use Airbus A320neo aircraft and plans to integrate its future A220s. This marks accelerated growth and network diversification within Lufthansa Group’s regional segment.
