I used my Ambassador free night for a 2-night stay at InterContinental Park Lane London. Booked a premium room on the Mayfair floor and it already looks like I’ve been upgraded to a junior suite in the app, which is a nice surprise and already better than my experience at the O2 property.
What I’d really like though is lounge access, mainly for breakfast and afternoon tea. Since there’s no pool at Park Lane, the lounge would be a big part of the value for me. I wasn’t offered lounge access as a paid add-on when booking, which makes me wonder if there’s any chance it might be included with the upgrade or something I could politely ask for at check-in.
I’m still fairly new to IHG. Only about 5 stays in the last 6 months, not a heavy business traveler. Just trying to understand what’s realistic vs wishful thinking here.
Is lounge access at Park Lane ever comped with a junior suite or Ambassador, or is it basically a no without paying?
