I recently lost my biggest client, who made up around 65% of my income, just six months into my digital nomad journey. I feel like I relied too heavily on a single source of income, and now I’m rethinking my plans.
I’ve really enjoyed being a digital nomad, but I’m starting to lose motivation to actively look for new clients or continue doing marketing work. I’m even considering scaling back to part-time work and living off my savings for a while instead.
My original goal was to travel for a year or two, but it eventually turned into a longer-term digital nomad lifestyle. While I know I could find stable work again either at home or elsewhere if I wanted, I don’t feel comfortable staying in one country for long periods beyond a few months.
Right now I’m just unsure, part of me is thinking about speeding up my travel and continuing full-time travel, but I also prefer a slower pace of spending a few weeks in each city. I guess I’m just venting and trying to figure things out.
