I recently flew with Air France from Sweden to Bordeaux and my checked baggage was lost on arrival. The airline delivered it to me five days later, but it arrived in severely damaged condition.
The suitcase appears to have been heavily impacted, with one wheel missing, cracks and holes in the body, and significant structural damage to the base. The luggage was newly purchased just two weeks before the trip.
In addition to the damage, several items are missing from inside, including a tailored suit and some electronics.
I have already initiated a claim and I am now waiting for a response from Air France regarding compensation or reimbursement.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation, particularly regarding typical response times for baggage damage and loss claims, and what outcomes are generally reasonable to expect
