Saw this news and it’s kind of wild. From March, it sounds like Air India is dropping BOM SFO and BLR SFO and sticking with only DEL SFO nonstop. That’s going to hurt business travelers for sure, especially anyone connecting from the south or west of India.
Also curious about the return leg. I remember SFO DEL sometimes making a technical stop in CCU. Not sure if that’s still the case or if they’re finally committing to a true nonstop both ways with the 777 300ER only.
Feels like a step back in network breadth, even if they’re trying to simplify ops
