After more than 20 years of cruising with Carnival, I’m starting to think about trying something new.
I began cruising with them back in 2005 and have taken trips regularly since then, increasing to about once a year recently. Over time, I’ve really enjoyed the lively atmosphere, friendly crew, and familiar experiences like favorite খাবার spots and onboard activities.
However, the recent changes to the Carnival VIFP loyalty program have been disappointing. While the perks themselves weren’t a major factor, it’s frustrating to see years of loyalty and accumulated status effectively reset. The progression through different loyalty levels felt like a meaningful recognition of long-term commitment.
Because of this, I’m now exploring other cruise lines, and Princess has caught my attention. Since it’s part of the same parent company, this isn’t about avoiding Carnival entirely, but more about discovering a different experience.
I’d love to hear from others especially those who have transitioned from Carnival to Princess about how their experiences compare.
