I’ve been traveling for just over 2 years now and will be on the road for at least another year. The one thing that constantly stresses me out: I still don’t have travel/health insurance.
I’m Costa Rican and will be traveling through Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Peru. When I look into insurance from my home country, it feels really expensive or sketchy, so I’ve been avoiding it.
For other long-term travelers: what insurance companies or plans have actually worked for you (and weren’t a scam/overpriced)? I’m mostly worried about medical emergencies, but curious what you all recommend.
