I will be staying in Houston for work next month for about 7–8 nights. I usually stay at Hampton Inn & Suites, but this time I booked a Tru by Hilton property because the rates were significantly better and the location works for my commute.
I have stayed at Tru before and I like some aspects of the brand, especially the hardwood floors, modern bathrooms, and walk-in showers. However, I find the room layout quite restrictive for longer stays. The lack of proper storage and limited space makes it feel cramped, especially when staying for a full week.
This time I booked a 2-queen room even though I am traveling alone, mainly to get extra space and pillows. Still, the storage situation is my main concern.
I will be staying 7 days and need to manage shirts, underwear, socks, and about 3 pairs of shoes. I prefer to keep clothing organized and not living out of a suitcase for the entire trip. I also find the open clothing rack by the entrance inconvenient since everything is visible and not really contained.
For those who have done longer stays at Tru by Hilton, how do you manage organization and storage in these rooms? Any practical setup or packing strategies that work well?
