I am flying with Air India on June 24th on a London Heathrow to Manila itinerary with a connection in Delhi.
When I originally booked, the layover was around 1.5 hours, but my first flight has now been rescheduled, resulting in an 8.5 hour layover in Delhi. I arrive at approximately 03:50 and my next flight departs at 12:25.
I contacted Air India customer service and was told that depending on availability, airport services may provide either a hotel or lounge accommodation, but they were unable to confirm anything in advance.
I have also seen paid transit hotel options available online, but I would prefer not to book them if I may be eligible for complimentary accommodation due to the schedule change.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation with Air India in Delhi, and what are the chances of being provided a hotel or lounge in this case?
