Just read through Lonely Planet’s latest roundup on the best places to travel this summer, and now I’m itching to plan something. The Hawaiian Islands are obviously on there, and they make it sound like you can’t go wrong no matter where you end up. Big Island, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, all with their own vibe. I’ve done Maui and Oahu, but reading this made me really want to try Moloka‘i or Lana‘i next time for that quieter, less touristy experience.
Anyone been to those and can share if it’s worth skipping the bigger islands?
