We’re planning to move back to Australia next year after living in London and thought we’d treat ourselves to business class on the way home.
So far I’m seeing mid week fares around £3,500 per person with Qatar or Emirates. We both have Amex cards and some points, so we might be able to offset part of the cost, but it still feels steep.
Just wondering if there are any tricks left these days to get this cheaper. Things like airline sales, better routings, flying out of a different European city, or creative use of points. Or is this just what long haul business class costs now?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s done this route recently or found a decent deal.
