I am planning to take the train from Ljubljana to Zagreb but I am confused about the ticketing rules.
I originally tried to book the 08:10 train online but could not complete the reservation, so I purchased a ticket at the station for about €9. The staff said it might be valid for “any train,” but the information was unclear and I am unsure if that is actually correct. I later saw that reservation is required on some platforms, and I am not sure how this applies to this route.
My backup option is the 06:50 train, which costs around €25 online. However, I can buy the ticket but not the reservation separately, so I am unsure whether my existing ticket is sufficient or if I need to purchase a full new fare.
I would like clarification on whether a reservation is required and what the correct way to use these tickets is.
