Line cutters at United gates are getting bold

This kind of stuff drives me crazy too. You get there early, stand in line like everyone else, and then someone just hovers and slides in once boarding starts like it’s no big deal.

The “yeah I’m good” response is wild. That’s not confusion, that’s entitlement. At that point you already did the right thing by calling it out. Anything beyond that just turns into a scene and somehow you’re the bad guy for holding things up.

Gate agents rarely enforce boarding groups unless it’s egregious, and most people won’t confront someone who’s brazen enough to own it. Those people count on that.

Honestly, you handled it fine. The system kind of rewards people with zero shame, which sucks, but escalating usually isn’t worth the stress.
