I’m wondering how lifetime status works in this situation. Specifically, if I stop maintaining Ambassador status and switch to another hotel loyalty program like Hilton or Hyatt, would I still qualify for Lifetime Platinum based on my previous years?
From my understanding, if I don’t renew my elite status, it only drops by one tier each year (e.g., Ambassador to Titanium, then Titanium to Platinum). So, by the tenth year, I would reach Platinum.
I’m looking for clarification on whether this understanding is correct and how switching programs might affect lifetime eligibility.
