Booked an economy award through Avianca LifeMiles for ORD to IST to DAM, all operated by Turkish.
My ticket only shows 1 personal item and 1 carry on. No clear info about checked bags.
Called Turkish and the rep said most international flights from the US in economy usually get 2 x 23kg checked bags. But the LifeMiles site sometimes only lists 1 checked bag for international economy, and I know partner awards can be weird.
Flight is tomorrow so I’m starting to stress a bit.
If you’ve flown TK on a LifeMiles award recently, how many free checked bags did you actually get at check in? Did they follow Turkish’s standard allowance or whatever was on the LifeMiles ticket?
Just trying to avoid a surprise fee at the airport.
