Lesson learned, don’t pre-book Uber rides from the airport

I tried pre-booking an Uber home from DFW after my flight, since the app offered a small discount. Entered all my flight info, thinking it would track delays.

Turns out, that feature didn’t help at all. My flight was delayed 90 minutes (known for hours), yet Uber still sent a driver at the original time seven hours after the delay was posted. I got charged a $25 no-show fee while still in the air.

Uber later refunded it after I reached out, but lesson learned: don’t pre-order airport rides. Just wait until you’re curbside.
