I had an early flight from Phoenix to Houston and was extremely tired going through Transportation Security Administration screening. I forgot to remove my laptop from my backpack, so my bag was pulled aside and sent through again with the laptop placed in a separate bin.
After it cleared the second time, I grabbed my backpack but accidentally left the laptop behind. I didn’t realize it was missing until about 24 hours later.
Now I’m really stressed because I rely on that laptop for work. I’ve already left a voicemail with TSA and plan to call them again when they open. The website says it can take up to five business days just to get a response from the lost and found form, and I’m worried it might take even longer to actually recover or ship it.
I’m trying to figure out if I’ll need to fly back to Phoenix to get it myself or if there’s a more practical way to recover it.
