Hey everyone,
This will be our first time experiencing Songkran. We’ll be arriving in Bangkok on April 10, and our return flight is scheduled for late on April 15. We need to be at the airport around 8 PM.
I’ve read that during Songkran people get soaked pretty much everywhere, so I’m wondering what departure day is like specifically:
Is transportation in Bangkok difficult on April 15 due to the festival?
Are taxis, Grab, or public transport still reliable for getting to the airport?
Is there still a chance of getting wet on the way to the airport?
We’re also considering extending our stay if traveling on that day might be too stressful.
Any advice or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!
