Saw some details from a leaked American Airlines employee call and, honestly, this is the most optimistic I’ve felt about AA in a while.
Supposedly coming soon:
Better transparency around delays and cancellations
Free WiFi expanding to widebodies too
More lounge related updates
Improved food and beverage partnerships
What really stood out is that AA finally seems to have a clear mission again: take the fight to United, with Chicago being the big battleground. That alone feels like a mindset shift.
Also wouldn’t be shocked if Isom is gone in the next few months. Personally, I’d love to see Nat Piper take over. He seems far more plugged into what’s actually at stake and how employees and customers are feeling.
Curious what others think. Real change this time, or more corporate talk?
