Layover hotel eligibility when there’s a “shorter” connection on another airline?

I’ve used Turkish’s free layover hotel before, but this upcoming trip has me second guessing.

We have a 12 hour 15 min layover in IST before flying IST to CGK. Turkish’s site shows a shorter connection, but it involves a stop in Bangkok and the BKK to CGK leg is on Thai, not TK. There’s no shorter all Turkish connection.

In this case, would we still be eligible for the free layover hotel, or does Turkish consider that Bangkok option a valid shorter connection even though part of it isn’t on TK?

Trying to figure out if we qualify before planning around it.
