Late arrival on a non refundable hotel booking, am I screwed?

Yeah, I know, rookie mistake. I booked a hotel in Prague through hotels.com for 3/19 to 3/24 and somehow selected non refundable, which I never do. Realized after that my flight doesn’t even arrive until the 20th.


I don’t want to cancel, I just want to show up a day late and keep the rest of the reservation. I’ve tried emailing and calling the hotel multiple times to let them know so I don’t get marked as a no show. No replies to emails, and when I call the number on their website it just drops the call after an automated message.


Hotels.com says they added a note, but the hotel can still say no. Now hotels.com finally reached them and says the hotel refuses late arrival and will mark me as a no show and charge the full stay.


This feels incredibly shady and I’m honestly panicking. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there anything else I can do, or am I just out of luck here?
