I impulsively booked a trip to Rome for next week (March 30 – April 1) during my spring break to meet someone, but I’ll be there alone for the first couple of days. Since I’m not sure when I’ll get another chance to visit, I really want to see the major attractions.
The problem is, I’ve realized that tickets for places like the Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum are already sold out. Now I’m wondering if I’ve completely messed up my chances. Is it still possible to line up early and get in, or are those options basically gone too?
I was hoping to do guided tours, but most of what I’m seeing is around €130+, which is way over my budget as a student. Even the cheaper options feel expensive. At this point, I’m honestly considering whether I should just cancel the trip and plan it properly another time.
Would it be worth paying extra for last-minute tickets? Are there any realistic alternatives, or am I out of luck?
