Wasn’t expecting this at all, but my upgrade from SFO to FRA cleared literally 10 minutes before boarding. I had pretty much given up hope since I’d been waitlisted for weeks. The gate agent called my name out of nowhere, handed me a new boarding pass, and I swear I walked onto that plane grinning ear to ear.
The Polaris seat was awesome for the overnight, and the crew was great. Honestly one of those rare United moments where everything just worked out perfectly.
