Korean Air marks 50th anniversary of Paris route with commemorative events

Korean Air is celebrating 50 years of its Seoul–Paris route, first launched on March 14, 1975—a major milestone! They surprised passengers on flight KE902 at CDG on June 2 with gifts, and the 50th check-in got a free round‑trip ticket to Incheon. A formal reception was held at the Korean Cultural Center in Paris on June 4, attended by diplomats and airline execs.

This route started as a twice‑weekly service on Orly, later moved to CDG in 1982, and helped strengthen Korea–Europe ties—also marked by their early Airbus adoption in 1974. It’s awesome to see how an airline route can build bridges culturally and economically over decades. Have any of you flown KE902 or this route—what was your experience like on board?
