Had a window seat on HKG–AMS, 14+ hours, and the crew locked the dimmers right after takeoff. Couldn’t adjust anything myself. They kept it fully dark all the way until we parked at the gate in Amsterdam.
I get that it was a night flight, but I figured they’d at least unlock it for landing or taxi. Nope. Just pitch black the whole way. Super disappointing for a window seat.
