Kindness paid off with Delta

Called the Diamond line to switch a flight (ORD instead of JFK) and asked the rep how her day was. She said most callers had been awful yelling and demanding upgrades on full flights. We laughed about it, finished the change, and she ended up waiving the $300 fare difference “because you were the only nice Diamond today.” Guess it really does pay to be kind.
