I was pricing premium economy to London and almost gave up. The jump from economy was painful, so I randomly checked what an upgrade would cost using Amex points.
Turns out Amex has this international travel feature where certain premium economy, business, and even first class fares are heavily discounted when you book through their site on select routes and airlines. I honestly had no idea.
Ended up saving over $1,000 per ticket compared to what I was seeing everywhere else. Same flights, just way cheaper through Amex Travel.
Is this a well known thing and I’ve just been sleeping on it, or is there some catch I’m missing? Because this felt almost too easy.
