I’m from Morocco and this is my first stable remote income at this level. I want to be smart about where to live, how taxes would work, and the best way to receive payments with minimal fees.
From what I’ve researched so far (based on $2k/month):
Georgia seems attractive with very low small business tax and low living costs.
Thailand looks good lifestyle wise and potentially low tax depending on setup.
Brazil has a relatively low income requirement for the nomad visa but taxes are around 15%.
UAE has 0% income tax, but the visa income requirement is higher than what I make right now.
Portugal and Spain are appealing but taxes and income thresholds seem too high for me at this stage.
My goals are to keep taxes reasonable, live somewhere safe and enjoyable, save money, and maybe use the country as a base to travel.
I’d really appreciate recommendations for countries that make sense at this income level, especially ones with legal low or 0% tax options.
Also trying to figure out the best way to get paid internationally. I’ve looked into Wise, Payoneer, Deel, direct USD transfers, and offshore banks. Would love to hear real experiences in terms of lowest fees, reliability, and long term ease of use.
Any advice from people who’ve been in a similar position would help a lot.
