I I keep seeing posts about how Las Vegas is overrated, overpriced, and not worth visiting solo, so I was a bit hesitant before my trip.
Having just returned, I can honestly say I had a great time.
Sure, Vegas can be incredibly expensive if you go all-in on gambling, clubs, luxury dining, and every tourist attraction. But it's also surprisingly easy to enjoy the city without spending a fortune if you're intentional about it.
I spent most of my time away from the Strip, explored during the day, checked out some of the classic attractions, and found plenty of quieter spots in the evenings where I could relax and enjoy a meal without the crowds.
My takeaway is that a lot of the disappointment seems to come from people expecting Vegas to be something other than what it is. If you're not interested in nightlife or high-end restaurants, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the city.
Maybe I got lucky, but as a solo traveler, I found Vegas far more enjoyable than I expected and would happily return on my own in the future.
