Sharing a recent positive experience regarding a JFK to Doha journey.
My parents were originally scheduled on an earlier departure (9:00 PM), but about two weeks prior to travel, the airline proactively updated their itinerary and rebooked them onto a later flight (QR706 departing at 11:00 PM). We did not need to contact the airline for this change.
In practice, flights QR705 and QR706 have been operating multiple times per week over the recent period, and I’ve been monitoring their consistency.
The overall experience was smooth:
Minor delay departing JFK due to a technical issue
In-flight service met expectations
Transit through Doha was efficient and well-managed
Hamad International Airport was fully operational, with shops and dining options available
Passengers were well taken care of throughout the journey
One notable highlight was the availability of complimentary onboard Wi-Fi that supports voice and video calls. This allowed continuous communication with family during the flight, including brief video calls.
Overall, despite initial uncertainty around scheduling changes, the travel experience was stable and reassuring, with the airline handling adjustments effectively.
