JetBlue’s slow breakup with Miami is nearly official, and they’re clearly picking Fort Lauderdale as their favorite child. Four new nonstop routes including Atlanta and Austin, more flights to Vegas, L.A, and Phoenix and they even brought back a few old FLL routes. I get it, Fort Lauderdale is cheaper and easier to navigate, and now with that Brightline train connection, it’s starting to make a lot more sense.
Seems like JetBlue is carving out a South Florida niche that doesn’t depend on duking it out at MIA. Anyone else kind of relieved to avoid Miami altogether these days?
