I am from Japan and enjoy traveling around Europe, but one thing I consistently struggle with is finding toilets while sightseeing.
In Japan, especially in cities, public restrooms are usually easy to find and are generally free to use. In many parts of Europe, however, I often notice that toilets are harder to locate, especially around tourist areas, and many require payment or only accept coins.
This made me curious about how local people manage daily life under these conditions. Do most Europeans simply not mind going long periods without access to a restroom? I also wonder how people with conditions like frequent urination or irritable bowel syndrome handle traveling and sightseeing without constant access to toilets.
I am genuinely curious how locals and frequent travelers adapt to this compared to what I am used to in Japan.
