I’m always surprised by how negatively MSC Cruises is viewed, especially among American cruisers. The same complaints seem to come up repeatedly — people saying the food is terrible or that the service isn’t good.
Honestly, it makes me wonder if we’re even sailing on the same cruise line. I get that everyone has different preferences, but I’ve personally had a great experience with MSC’s food. Their buffet is actually one of my favorites at sea, and I’ve previously cruised with Royal Caribbean and NCL before trying MSC. I’ve also consistently enjoyed the specialty restaurants, especially Hola and the Teppanyaki dining experience, which I always look forward to.
Does anyone else feel like MSC gets judged too harshly? Although maybe all the criticism helps keep the prices more affordable. Either way, the level of negativity around the cruise line feels a bit excessive to me.
