ITA Airways has unveiled its 2026–2030 strategic plan, centered on bold long‑haul expansion, fleet modernization, and tighter integration with its part‑owner Lufthansa (41% stake). The Italian carrier will add one next‑generation long‑haul aircraft each year from 2026, targeting a fleet of roughly 100 by 2030. It plans to launch new intercontinental routes from Rome to destinations across North America, South America, Asia, and Africa. The airline is set to join Star Alliance in early 2026 and deepen collaboration with Lufthansa through joint ventures on transatlantic and Japanese services.
