While reviewing the deck plans for Carnival Panorama, I noticed an interior cabin positioned midship, right near the elevator lobby, which raised some concerns.
On one hand, the location has clear advantages:
Midship placement is generally more stable and convenient
Very close to elevators and stairs, minimizing walking distance
Easy access without needing to navigate long corridors or worry about orientation
However, the location may also have drawbacks:
Being directly adjacent to a high-traffic elevator area likely means more noise
Expect sounds from luggage handling, conversations, foot traffic, and general movement
Potential disturbances from people passing by at all hours
Overall, it seems like a trade-off between convenience and noise. It’s convenient for accessibility, but could be one of the noisier interior cabin locations on the ship
