I recently found a brand new Lo and Sons OG bag at a thrift store for under $10, which I’m really happy about since I’ve always wanted one. I had been using an old Baggalini tote for years before this.
However, when I checked the dimensions, I realized that although the product is marketed as a perfect personal item, it is actually slightly larger than United Airlines’ allowed size.
United’s limit is 17” x 10” x 9”, while the bag measures 16.5” x 14.2” x 6.75”. The height seems to exceed the restriction.
I’m thinking it might still work since I won’t overpack it and could compress it down to fit under the height requirement. Has anyone used this bag as a personal item on United before, and should I be concerned about being stopped for it?
