Las Vegas tourism is taking a noticeable hit, and California might be partly to blame. Visitor numbers are down, especially from SoCal, a region that usually drives huge weekend traffic via I-15 and flights. Between California’s high gas prices, job market issues, and the steep cost of Vegas itself, it’s no surprise folks are thinking twice before making the trip.
Still, it’s not all on California. Vegas casinos aren’t exactly helping think resort fees, tight slot odds, and 6:5 blackjack everywhere. Even loyal gamblers are feeling like the value’s fading.
As someone who used to visit several times a year, I’m hesitant now. Anyone else cutting back on trips to Vegas? What’s tipping the scales for you?
