So, I’ve been seeing tons of posts online about Buc-ee’s opening a location in Asheville, NC. Being a huge fan of their ridiculously clean bathrooms and addictive snacks, I got pretty excited until I dug into the details. Turns out, the rumors aren’t true. Buc-ee’s is opening its first North Carolina location, but it's going to be in Mebane, which is about 200 miles east of Asheville. So no, Asheville isn’t getting one for now.
That said, the Mebane location sounds massive 75,000 square feet, 120 gas pumps, and over 600 parking spots. It’s set to open in late 2026 or early 2027.
