I’m booking my return journey on a single ticket:
Rome (FCO) → Paris (CDG) at 06:05, arriving 08:25 (Air France, economy)
Layover at CDG: 1 hour 50 minutes
Paris (CDG) → Bengaluru (BLR) at 10:15
I’m unsure where Schengen exit immigration will be processed—whether it happens in Rome before the first flight or in Paris before the long-haul departure.
My main concern is that if exit control happens in Paris, the new EES biometric system for non-EU travelers could create long queues, which might affect tight connections even for transit passengers.
I’m trying to understand whether a 1h50 connection at CDG is realistically enough time under these conditions, or if it carries a significant risk of missing the onward flight (even though it’s on a single ticket and I would be rebooked if I miss it).
