After reading quite a few recent stories about difficult transfers at Frankfurt Airport, I have started getting concerned about an upcoming connection.
My inbound flight, LH1341 with Lufthansa, generally seems to arrive on time or even early based on recent tracking data. However, it often appears to park at remote B gates, sometimes requiring a bus transfer, which could slow things down considerably.
I have connected through Frankfurt Airport multiple times before, including both Schengen and non-Schengen transfers. Passport control has usually been manageable, especially using the EU automated gates, where I have never waited more than around 30 minutes. Still, I have never attempted a Schengen to non-Schengen connection this tight before.
I am traveling in Business Class and hold Senator status. If the arrival ends up at a remote stand and time becomes very tight, is there any realistic chance that Lufthansa’s connection transfer cars would be used in this situation? I know they are mostly intended for HON Circle members, but I have heard they are sometimes used for passengers at serious risk of missing a connection.
One important detail is that the Lufthansa and Asiana Airlines segments are on separate tickets, although I only have carry-on luggage and no checked bags.
