I recently came across premium economy fares from two different airlines British Airways and Japan Airlines and was shocked by the pricing.
Both options were around $3,000, which seems incredibly expensive for what is essentially an upgraded economy experience. I understand paying a premium for extra legroom, wider seats, and enhanced service, but these fares appear much closer to business class pricing than what I would normally expect for premium economy.
Has premium economy become this expensive across the industry, or am I just looking at unusually high fares? I'm curious whether others are seeing similar pricing or if this is more likely due to specific routes, travel dates, or demand levels.
