Planning a last big hoorah for my troop next June, Atlanta to New Orleans by train. We want it to feel like an adventure, but the only thing in budget is coach. It’s 12 hours one way (9am–9pm) and the return is even longer at 14 hours.
Trying to figure out if six high school seniors will tolerate that much time in coach without it turning miserable. Roomettes would blow the entire cookie fund, so that’s not happening.
Really want this to be a fun memory for them, just not sure if 12 hours in coach is “fun long” or “why did you do this to us” long.
