I have been staying at IHG hotels for about a decade and have also switched between IHG and Hilton over the years, holding top status with both programs.
Recently, over the past couple of months, I have noticed a consistent issue across multiple IHG properties. The internet quality has become significantly worse everywhere I have stayed. In the past it was generally reliable and good enough for work and streaming, but now it feels slow and unstable in almost every location.
I specifically use the connection in the evenings for gaming, and it has become essentially unusable due to lag and instability. At first I thought it might just be a few older hotels, but even newer properties seem to have the same problem.
This is now making me reconsider whether IHG is still worth sticking with if the WiFi quality has dropped this much across the board.
Has anyone else noticed a similar change recently, or is this just isolated to certain regions or properties?
